Tarek Zikry is an assistant professor in the School of Data Science and Society. He completed his Ph.D. in biostatistics at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. He will join SDSS after a year of working with Genevera Allen at Columbia University in the department of statistics and Zuckerman Institute. His research interests lie in developing statistical methodologies in dimensionality reduction and machine learning across scientific areas of cancer, neuroscience, public health and computational medicine.
