Lina Montoya is an assistant professor at the School of Data Science and Society with a secondary appointment in the department of biostatistics in the Gillings School of Global Public Health. Her methodological research focuses on questions in causal inference, in particular within the field of precision medicine, motivated by applications in the U.S. criminal legal system and HIV care adherence in sub-Saharan Africa.
